1.What does sandlot mean?
 Sandlot means that the field was transformed into a baseball field. It is not an all dirt field. It is all grass. A mound has been built, with dirt around the bases. Also, plywood is used for the backstop. Sandlot also means that anyone can play. This is an open age league.
2.What are the age limits?
For the league that is on Sundays you must be 14 or older. There are a variety of ages - 20, 25, 35, 52, 16, and 28. The average age however is around 22. Anyone can play young or old. 
3.Is the league competitive or recreational?
It is a mixture of both. It is a rec league because people come and play for their love of the game and to have fun, but at the same time playing to win bringing in the competitive atmosphere. Practices are optional and are called pick-up games which are played at different times during the week. Just show up on Sundays for the league games if you are on a team! 
4.How much does it cost?
Playing in the league only costs $10. You must be in high school or older to participate in league play. The money goes towards field supplies and monthly website maintenance. Stats are provided for each player as well. This is a one-time per year fee.
5.What are pick-up games?
Pick-up games are games held throughout the week during the summer. Monday thru Friday anyone can show up and teams will be split up. Pick-up games are for practice and for people who couldn't sign up for the league in time. Game times are usually posted on the HOME page of the website.
League games are just on Sundays. You must be on a team before May 18th and meet the age requirements.
6.Do you provide equipment? 
Yes we provide baseballs, helmets,catchers equipment, and bases. If you have stuff to donate like helmets, baseballs, or bats please do so. **We do not supply bats anymore because we have switched to wood. We are taking donations so if you have any old wood bats please donate!
7.How do I get on a team?
Email krewllob87v@yahoo.com with position preference, age, and phone number. Do not wait until the last minute because spots will fill fast. 


Weasel Baseball League Rule Book

  1. Each week is two games
  2. Five innings per game
  3. Starting pitcher for Game 1 cannot pitch in Game 2 until the 4th inning.
  4. The Catcher calls balls and strikes
  5. Wood bats only
  6. If you hit the ball and it hits the tree that is underneath home plate, it is a foul ball. However if the opposing team catches it you are out. If the ball makes it past the infield it is live ball and in play.
  7. A Home Run is if the ball lands in the street on the fly or hits a tree/leaf along the street.
  8. If the ball rolls into the street the batter is awarded a ground-rule double.
  9. You can lead-off any base but you can only steal 2nd base.
  10. When you strike out, you are out. No drop 3rd strike.
  11. There is  a 6-run limit per inning. Unless its the last inning and there is no run limit.
  12. Must have 6 players every game or you forfeit. You can start with 5 players, but it is the managers descretion on whether or not the team with 5 players is charged an out. If the manager elects to do so, only ONE out will be charged to the team for the entire game - then the game will go on.
  13. You cannot borrow players from other teams. The players must be from your roster.
  14. Must play in 8 of the 14 season games to be eligible for playoff roster.
